2015 Artists’ Studio Tour Flyer

Have you ever wondered how an artist creates a masterpiece?

Westmoreland County Museum will hold its 2nd annual artists’ studio tour scheduled for Sat., May 23 from 1 PM until 4 PM.  The tour will feature local Mt. Holly and Hague artists: Clarence “Juice” McKenney’s handcrafted duck decoys, Linda Boatman’s oil paintings and pencil or charcoal sketches, Marcia Read Thomason’s hand-painted silk scarves, Teresa Edward’s still life oil paintings, Doc Dugan’s scenic oil paintings, Suzy Evans’ impressionistic oil paintings, and husband-wife artisans, Jim Bell’s woodworking pieces and Helen Bell fiber creations.  Each artist will open their studios to the public and be available to explain their inspiration and artistic process!  You can purchase an art piece from the studio floor; for the first time, Jim Bell’s pieces will be available for purchase.  He is graciously donating 10% of the proceeds to the museum.

Tickets are now on sale for the “Spring 2015 Artist Studio Tour” for $20 (or $5 per studio) and includes admission to all artists’ studios and free hors d’oeuvres at each stop.  Tickets can be purchased in Montross at the Westmoreland County Museum (every day from 10 AM-4 PM, except Sunday), The Art of Coffee, in Mt. Holly at Murphy Seed Service, Erica Mall, in Hague at the Left Bank Gallery, or at any of the artists’ studios on the day of the tour.  This tour is self-guided.
