Meet the Board
The Westmoreland County Museum certificate of incorporation was signed on August 9, 1939. Article 4 of the original certificate laid out the guidelines for a board of directors to manage the affairs of the corporation. The first board was made up of Ferdinand F. Chandler, President, Albert Stuart, Vice President, Alice R. Carver, Secretary and Kate H. Mason, and R.H. Mason, Treasurer.

Deborah Newman is the owner of Petite Taway Inc, a web design and social media marketing company specializing in working with small businesses and nonprofits. After graduating with a BA in the Study of the Americas from George Mason University, Deborah planned on working within the art and history community, but her plan took a different path when she got married, moved to Maine and opened a business with her husband called MaineBytes, a computer repair & web design company. ​

In 2012, Deborah relocated to Virginia after the death of her husband and opened Petite Taway in 2013. The company would meld her technology skills with her love of art, history, entrepreneurship and marketing. Deborah is the founder of three networking group which encourage collaboration and partnership and she presently works with clients all across the United States, Canada, the UK and Africa.
