Happy Holidays!!!!!

The Westmoreland Museum is looking for Christmas or holiday decorations for both the Museum and the Wakefield building. In trying to decorate both facilities for the Spirit Festival and the upcoming holidays, we find ourselves long on enthusiasm but short on decorations. If you might have decorations that you no longer need or use please consider either donating them to us or making them available on loan so that we might really illuminate both buildings and create a very festive atmosphere for the holidays and our Christmas open house that night of the Spirit Festival. We have listed below some of the items we are looking for:

4’to7’ white artificial trees to illuminate the Wakefield Building both inside and out.

5’to7’ green artificial trees for the display of ornaments made by Westmoreland school children at the original museum as well as old fashioned ornaments recently donated to us

White light icicle or strings of white lights to illuminate the Wakefield building windows

Strings of white or clear lights that could be placed around the shrubs at the museum

Old Santa, reindeer, sleighs, snowmen or other window displays for inside the Wakefield Building

You may have other items as well that you might wish to donate or loan to us for the holiday season. We would also welcome volunteer support for the Spirit Festival, house tour and other upcoming events. Please contact Brianna Morris at the Museum (804) 493-8440 to either find out more about how you can become more involved, the Christmas decorations project or to make arrangements to donate or loan your holiday decorations.

We hope, with your support, that this will be one of the most exciting holiday seasons Montross and Westmoreland County has ever experienced.
